The Tale of the Sun and the Moon

Before I had seen this video in a movie I watched tonight, I was thinking about bodies in the Universe and how they are attracted to one another. How Gravity and Electro-Magnetism work and keep things balanced some of the time and how even when galaxies collide that are going in two different directions they alter their course and begin this dance. Ripping each other apart, but creating a new Galaxy.

The Sun and Moons in our Solar System are the same. They come from the same source. The material that made up what they both were was ejected away, but they were drawn together again. The fate of the Universe is the same as the destiny of the people in it. We do the same things to each other. We are thrust out into the world. We find the one we are drawn to.

Sometimes the attraction is so intense that our souls feel like they are pulling our bodies together. We collide, sometimes creating new lives. Sometimes, we tear each other apart with the intensity of that connection. At times we destroy pieces of the other and lose parts of ourselves, forever, as we careen apart.
I, myself, in my experience, can still feel the missing pieces, my skin can still feel the soft caresses and the numbing bruises. My heart can still feel swelling elation and the hard ache. It will always be there.

Dear Moon, I Miss You. Love, Sun
